The asymmetrical design of the Boston Dynamics website is no mistake.
Inspired by the movement of the robots and the various services offered, this design style allows users to walk through the site in a similar pattern to the robots.
This, in combination with stunning video and photography, delivers an engaging site that shows the value of Boston Dynamics’ products.

We balanced a bright, clean aesthetic with gritty treatments to imagery and the overall user interface to accomplish this.

Our research uncovered that prospective customers deeply desired the ability to see projects represented by location and type. We also discovered that Skyline’s unique features in their designs were huge differentiating factors and needed to be highlighted.
This became the backbone of the website architecture and how prospective customers engage with their portfolio.

From the second you hit ‘enter’ on your browser, your experience with Skyline is unique to any other contractor’s website.
The intro animation focuses on values critical to the company’s mission, then quickly transitions to a reel of their best work.
As you scroll down the page, we’ve strategically organized the different ways they engage with customers by industry and region.
We also use the homepage as a way to draw attention to a few of their key differentiators: being a 100% employee-owned, women-led company.
Mobile Experience
Balancing the desktop and mobile experience for the Skyline website was a challenging feat. The nuanced animation and effects that make the desktop experience unique require fine-tuning and balancing for the mobile experience.
Regional Landing Pages
Having acquired four businesses in three years, Skyline faced serious challenges.
Not only did each of these businesses still have independent websites, but they also spoke to different audiences.
We faced this challenge by interviewing the heads of each branch to better understand their needs and the needs of their customers within the region.
Case Studies
The case study overview page allows customers to quickly filter work by location, type, and special features. With hundreds of projects, this was an absolute must.
Each inner case study page features a flexible format that highlights the key stats of the project, provides an interactive image gallery, and highlights key collaborators for the project.
