Their previous website had done a great job of helping them get to this point but was now falling short of their customer’s expectations and limiting their ability to grow.

Global Design System
The asymmetrical design of the Boston Dynamics website is no mistake.
Inspired by the movement of the robots and the various services offered, this design style allows users to walk through the site in a similar pattern to the robots.
This, in combination with stunning video and photography, delivers an engaging site that shows the value of Boston Dynamics’ products.

Global Design System
Retrofete needed to deliver a website experience with a luxury editorial feel that got customers excited.
Minimal treatments of white, black, and grey dominate the UI of the site, allowing the photography to remain the focal point.

Research & Discovery
With a solid customer base, we started our efforts by surveying a large group of Retrofete’s most loyal customers. What we discovered was that Retrofete’s customer is driven by aspirations. They want to be the center of attention at any event they attend.
Being able to quickly and effectively find the perfect dress was absolutely essential and became huge focal point of the project.

Homepage
With collections quickly changing per season—and various promotions run throughout the year—we needed to make the homepage simple to update. This allows Retofete to do entire takeovers to align with whatever they’re promoting.
As you scroll down the page, you can quickly jump into new collections, new arrivals, and specific product categories.
Each represented by beautiful, high-quality photography.
Mobile Experience
Like most e-commerce brands, mobile dominates their customer base. We made mobile our first priority, ensuring that the browsing and shopping experience was effortless.
Site Navigation
Retrofete’s navigation had to make shopping as easy as possible. With dozens of categories available, and visuals to represent key categories, it’s easy to get anywhere on the site in just two clicks.
Product Category Pages
As previously mentioned, allowing the customer to quickly find their perfect dress was our main obsession.
This led to the most flexible category page we’ve created. With options to change up the number of columns, products per page, and several dozen detailed filters you can filter hundreds of products in seconds.
Another unique feature is the ability to shop by size or color directly from the collection page. Doesn’t get much easier than that.
Product Page
Here, the product becomes the star.
The interface of the page is simplified, allowing the high-quality product photos to shine.
Key details like a sizing chart are made readily available, as well as a simple upsell to complete whatever look you’re trying to create.
Donations
Because donations are vital to Dollar Energy, we created a custom integration with Authorize.net to capture donations directly, as well as a system to track donations through data analytics.
We made sure that it was clear where the donations go, who they help, and what the different ways to donate are. To emphasize who the donations are helping, we used lifestyle photography and testimonials from previous clients.
Careers Page
Enthusiastic employees who believe in Dollar Energy’s cause are the foundation of the company. To guarantee that they are able to find the best-qualified employees, we created custom job posts built directly in WordPress.
Additionally, we incorporated more lifestyle photos in areas like the image marquee on the top of the page and included video testimonials from current employees at Dollar Energy to showcase the benefits of working at the company.
